Description

SolBox, which means "box of sun" in Spanish, was created to connect mainland citizens with Puerto Rican citizens. The purpose of SolBox is to provide first aid kits, clothing, vitamins, and other daily essentials for living and to bring hope to Puerto Ricans' lives.

Problem

How to connect Puerto Ricans and US citizens & provide resources as a result of Hurricane Fiona?

Solution

Bring hope to Puerto Rican families.

64% of Puerto Rico’s population is severely undergoing poverty.

690,00 Puerto Ricans are
unemployed and 330,00 have migrated to the US.

Although Puerto Ricans are tax-paying U.S. citizens, they are left without any of the limited benefits that come with that.

Non-profit organizations are making a direct and immediate impact on the Puerto Rican Community.

Insights
